Using selected chapters from the book The Unjust Steward: Wealth, Poverty, and the Church, our All Church Study will explore the ancient heart of Christianity’s deep longing for God’s reversal of rich and poor. This All Church Study is part of a stewardship campaign. But it’s not like ANY stewardship campaign you’ve ever participated in before. The Unjust Steward presents a compelling case for a profound overhaul in the way the church and its people value the poor and transform into servants of God instead of stewards of wealth. In her review of this book, world-renowned womanist scholar Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas writes, “An absolute must read for anyone who has ever wondered what the Bible really says about economic injustice and the wealth gap."
Books for this All Church Study cost $14 and can be purchased at the main office or on Sunday mornings in September. We are asking that folks pay only what they can. If you can pay more, please do. You will help cover someone else’s copy.
